Planet FM is currently offering an exciting job opportunity to three young journalists with diplomas. Our radio station is based in Morogoro Region in Tanzania, and we have a frequency of 87.5 that captures the Morogoro Region, Tanga, Coast, and even Arusha. Plus, our radio channel can be heard all over Tanzania when viewed on Azam TV’s decoder channel 65.

About Planet FM and Our Reach

Welcome to Planet FM! We are an exciting radio platform in Morogoro Region, Tanzania. With our frequency of 87.5, we reach Morogoro, Tanga, Coast, and Arusha. However, that’s not all, because the whole of Tanzania can tune in to Planet FM by using a decoder on Azam TV channel number 65 on the radio side. And it doesn’t stop there—you can also follow us on our website planetfm.co.tz via the internet worldwide!

We are a youth radio focused on entertainment news and music of all kinds. We also strive to provide content that is youth-oriented and relevant to our listeners’ interests. That’s why we have recently opened up job opportunities for three young journalists with diplomas—so they can be part of the exciting growth of Planet FM!

What We Offer Qualified Journalists

Do you have a diploma in journalism or public communication? If so, Planet FM is the perfect place for you to hone your skills and make a living. We are searching for talented, passionate people to join our team in Morogoro Region, Tanzania.

Here are the roles we are looking to fill:

  • Sportscaster: You will provide play-by-play commentary of various sporting events and provide sports analysis.
  • Morning show host: You will lead morning shows with a positive and captivating energy that resonates with listeners!
  • Cameraman/Graphics designer: You will work hand in hand with the production team to create an audio/visual presentation that stimulates our audience’s senses.

Requirements for a Job at Planet FM

Planet FM is seeking three diploma-holding journalists to join its team. To be considered, you must present proof of the following:

NTA Level 4 & 5 Certificates and Diploma Requirements

You must prove that you have achieved a Level 4 and a Level 5 Diploma from the National Training Authority. This demonstrates your knowledge of radio broadcasting, from producing and presenting programs to understanding radio station management.

Curriculum Vitae Showing Experience in Radio Broadcasting

Your CV should demonstrate at least two years of radio broadcasting experience- including all relevant training and experiences such as script writing, interviews, editing audio, and more.

Demos Of Some Programs That You Have Been A Presenter On The Radio

To support your CV, we would also like to see demos of some programs or shows that you have been a presenter on the radio. This may include audio clips or videos of your work as well as reference letters from previous employers in the field.
